This beautiful steel sculpture The Goddess of the Millennium composed in 1/4 inch steel plate was created by Stewart Stars Saxton in the closing months of the last Millennium the honor his friends on the turn of this exciting moment in time and space. Peace, Love Understanding, Happiness and Prosperity to all. The steel is heated to give the colors seen.

                   The Angel of the Millennium by Stewart Stars Saxton

This work of cosmic art is dedicated to Cindy Feldman and Ira Ludwick on the fifteenth anniversary of Progressions Salon. This coming of the end of the second millennium and the beginning of the third millennium marks this as a special occasion in the history of the world. Their dedication to excellence and being leaders in the salon industry is unsurpassed. This work shows the energy and dedication present in this time of reflection, change and hope. We look to the future with a peaceful, prosperous, and joyful new age force of energy.

Following are explanations of the many meanings within the symbols expressed in this beautiful work of cosmic art.
The Goddess of the Millennium expresses these new energies arising in this land of New Hope and arising presence.
The energy is based on the symbolic expressions of Advaita-Vedanta:

 The five pointed star symbolic of human race. There are five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot. There are five main upper and five main lower organs in the body. There are the four main extremities, and the head for a total of five. Then there are the five senses and the five forms of matter, fire, earth, water, air and metal. The union of heaven (3) and earth (2) is five. We will give a further explanation of the number five at a later time.

 There are 412 stars in the main swirl of stars; it is both a swirl of waves and particles. There are 94 stars in the Angel center piece. And in the winged heart of the angel are 6 stars. The two sconces have 2 stars each for a total of 4. Altogether this is a total of 516 stars. Five hundred of the stars represent the 1,000 years of the past millennium as each star has two sides, positive and negative, yin and yang and light and dark. The remaining 16 are symbolic of the cosmic order, as 5 + 1 = 6 + 6 = 12, as in the 12 signs of the zodiac. To expand the Idea of space and time as seen within the spiral of stars, 1 + 2 = 3 as it represents the 1st, 2nd and 3rd millenniums.

 -The energy movement starts with the heart; the energy of the life force enters the goddess and gives life to the heart. The wings represent movement and the arising spiral energy of all mankind. The winged angel is the connection between heaven and earth, a symbol of invisible positive energy. This is the force that watches over us, and guides us to the light, then hopefully into a more peaceful, positive, and enlightened world in the third millennium. The 5 gold pointed stars represent the energy and good fortune from Major Five. For more information on Major5 see the article on the “Spiral of Life” also known as the “Peace Bomb”.

Goddess of the Millennium's wings of life renewed, (<Click to see picture) an energy transfer lightning rod, an epoch passed to an epoch anew. The spiral of stars ends with just one star, a lightning through the center where it almost connects with the lightning of the heart. This represents the time just before the end of the old, and the beginning of the new. The time that is, between light and dark, and positive and negative. Then from the source of the omniverse the new cycle begins. There are 4 stars behind the Angel. This is the cycle of the seasons, winter, fall, summer, and spring. There are 3 stars behind the wings they represent the trinity, as in heaven, earth and the space in between. Also, the mother, the father, and the child are three, and then spirit, mind and body are three.  There are 8 stars behind the spiral of stars, the two squares of the octagon representing the family. This is the life force of humanity. These total 1 5 (3, 4, 8 = 15) the number of years in the family of Progressions Salon at this time in space, the year 2000.

The 90 stars In the Angel are the symbol of truth to the highest degree. The stars in the eyes are the connection to the sun, the physical well being and the path of goodness brought into the light. The star in the forehead is the third eye the gives us the power to visualize the way of righteousness and understanding. The forth star gives the power of balance to the face of this beautiful divine being that is the Angel of the life force of us all.

Let us take this season before the New Year to prepare ourselves and our humanity for the next thousand years.
