Componet description for table base and two tops
Table Base
1. The table base holds the two tops that fit in place on the base. The table base is of French Olivewood with wood inlay of Snakewood Timber from Suriname, South America The circle inlays are 22k gold and the semi-precious stone circle inlays are Electric Blue Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli.
2. The top has 17 (½ inch) Electric Blue Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli circles, with rings of 22k Gold. The 8 panels in the lower base have 6 (1 inch) rings of 22k gold and Electric Blue Afghanistan Lapis Lazuli for a total of 48 lower rings.
3. The Olivewood is from the South of France. The Snakewood from Suriname, South America is in the form of an X on the inner top and on the lower panels. There is wood inlay is on each side of the Snakewood inlay on each lower panel.
4. The Gold and Lapis Lazuli circles are inlaid on raised panels on the lower part of the table. The woodwork is very special. The cabinet work was done by Ole Olson, Master cabinet maker in Baltimore, Maryland.
5. There are 8 inserts of Russian Apple Green Jade over and under each column.
Finish Table Top and Backgammon Board
1. The Finish top is made of book matched French Olivewood panels. The opposite side of the finish tabletop is the Backgammon Board. The board points are made of Snakewood and Leopardwood both from Suriname. The background is made of London Planetree from Hyde Park in the city of London. The backgammon board when in place is regulation height.
2. Each of the species of wood is separated by 2mm 22k gold. There are 24 dots of 22k gold approximately 5/16 inch in diameter above each point.
3. Accessories (additional to base cost) are the player’s chips of Black Jade and White Jade. The gaming cubes are made of Lapis Lazuli with Gold numbers. There are two sets of engraved Ashtrays and Glass Holders in 14k Gold. A leather carrying case is available for the top in reserve.
4. The player areas are lined with the finest leather and each area is complemented with gold tooling in a truly classical design.

The Rose of the Mountain timber is also known as Black Rose, as when the log is cut across at the end there appears a Black Rose.
